I can help with a wide range of issues including depression, problems with panic and anxiety, difficulties related to traumatic experiences in childhood or as an adult, difficulties in relationships or with parenting, personality problems/ disorders, eating disorders and body image issues.
I am a psychotherapist with ten years of experience specializing in cognitive behavioural therapies and schema therapy. I help people with a wide range of psychological problems at my private practice in central London and offer online sessions, if you are unable to attend in person.
MY PSYCHOTHERAPY TRAINING
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2012) and master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (2015) which I completed extensive psychotherapy training as part of the programme.
I worked as a psychotherapist for several charities between 2015-2020. I worked as a psychotherapist and a psychotherapy team manager for the Doctors of the World which I worked with young people and adults who have been to traumatic experiences in their lives. Then, I worked for the Maya Foundation as a psychotherapy project manager and a psychotherapist which I supported young people with emotional and personal issues. I worked as a psychotherapist for Imece Women’s Centre with women who have been to domestic abuse relationships.
I received training in cognitive behavioural therapies as a part of my masters training and further training from the Centre for Behavioural Sciences which I started practice in 2015.
I completed my schema therapy training with International Society of Schema Therapy and I have been practicing schema therapy since 2017. Currently, I mostly utilize the practice of schema therapy because it is a powerful and transformative approach which can help you to break long standing harmful patterns which leads to psychological problems, discover your true wishes and reach your goals with a warm and compassionate approach.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a member of International Society of Schema Therapy and the British Psychological Society.
I have completed a number of training courses in Play Therapy, Art Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness. I incorporate art therapy and mindfulness strategies to my practice to help my clients become more self-compassionate.
I am a co-author of the book Introduction to Clinical Interviewing (2018) which is published by Ideal Publishing House.
Currently, I accept clients at my private practice.
WHERE I WORK
The practice is easily accessible from King’s Cross Station which is a 5-minute walk. It is within easy travelling distance of many areas of London such as Angel, Hackney, Camden, Euston, Fitzrovia as well as Liverpool Street Station.
